Mountain valleys and the Snake River Plain (Boise, Twin Falls, Pocatello, Idaho Falls) hold smoke under overnight inversions. Northern Idaho (Coeur d'Alene, Lewiston) catches heavy smoke from regional and British Columbia fires.
